National Team Rookies Learning the Ropes at Pan Pacs
Of the 60 swimmers competing for the United States at the 2014 Pan Pacific Championships, 20 of them – a full third of the team – are rookies, meaning they are competing with the National “A” Team for the first time. A few of these rookies took time out to talk about what this experience means to them, and what they’ve learned so far.

Moore Has a Golden Birthday in Nanjing
Hannah Moore closed the swimming portion of the Youth Olympic Games in style on Friday. On her 18th birthday Moore won gold in the women's 400m freestyle in a time of 4:11.05. The gold medal was her second of the competition.
The U.S. takes home 10 more medals at Pan Pacs
The United States won 10 medals Friday at the 2014 Pan Pacific Championships, taking home four gold, three silver and three bronze. Winning gold for the U.S. were Jessica Hardy in the women’s 100m breaststroke, Elizabeth Beisel in the women’s 400m IM, and the men’s and women’s 800m free relays.

She then returned to the pool later in the session to take the 800m free in 8:11.35.
