Olympic Gold Medalist Jessica Hardy Visits Children’s Hospital of Orange County
Olympic gold medalist Jessica Hardy (Long Beach, Calif.) will make an appearance on Thursday at the Children’s Hospital of Orange County from 2-4 p.m. PT in Orange, Calif. Hardy’s appearance is part of the Jessie Rees Foundation Never Ever Give Up.
“I’m very excited about visiting the children’s hospital, because it’s always humbling meeting the world’s youngest warriors and being able to give back,” said Hardy. “I’ll be bringing my Olympic medals and hope to provide a smile to the kids and their families and inspire them to continue to persevere.”
Hardy – who was actually born in CHOC – will be making joy jars with the children during her two-hour performance. She will also be signing autographs and taking pictures as well.
Hardy’s appearance at the Children’s Hospital of Orange County is part of USA Swimming’s Athlete Partnership Program. The program is a platform deigned to help National Team swimmers to encourage kids and adults to take up the sport as a healthy and positive activity.
