Middle Atlantic Swimming presents its first annual Coaches Diversity Conference, Sept. 29-30 at the Holiday Inn in Cherry Hill, NJ. The two day conference will be kicked off by keynote speaker and leader of advanced diversity workshops for the NCAA, Dr. Jenny Withycombe.
Dr. Withycombe will tackle the issues that will give coaches the tools to deal with diversity on their team. This conference will open up honest discussions on diversity and hold workshops to deal with diversity issues head on from some of the best leaders of diversity in their field.
The conference will include the following speakers, Coach Jim Ellis-Salvation Army Kroc Aquatics, Coach John Mason-Central Chesapeake Swimming, Lt. James DeLeon-Regional Diversity Manager from the Coast Guard and Richard Butler-US Rowing's Inclusion Manager. This conference is open to any LSC wishing to send representatives, USA Swimming coaches, High School coaches, and College coaches as well.
