Community Impact Grants

USA Swimming’s Community Impact Grants are $5,000 renewable grants with three focal areas of support:

  • USA Swimming clubs that partner with recreational/municipal organization that don’t currently have a USA Swimming club;
  • USA Swimming clubs led by women and/or racially diverse individuals; and
  • USA Swimming clubs that partner with Historically Black Colleges and Universities to create USA Swimming clubs.

Through the community impact grant program, USA Swimming aims to grow a diverse community of champion athletes by creating competitive opportunities within diverse communities. Grant dollars are utilized for things such as learn-to-swim programming, scholarships, technology, equipment, and administrative support.

Since 2021, USA Swimming has awarded $150K to twenty-two Community Impact Grant recipients. These grants have reached 1,686 prospective members in just two short years. In 2023, a total of 30 grants will be awarded.
