National Team member Zane Grothe (Boulder City, Nev./Mission Viejo Nadadores) and Ashley Neidigh (Jacksonville, Fla./Unattached) earned the 1500-meter freestyle titles on Sunday to close the TYR Pro Swim Series at Mesa at Skyline Aquatic Center.
Grothe won for the second time in Mesa with a time of 15 minutes, 8.22 seconds to earn the victory ahead of Olympian Jordan Wilimovsky (Malibu, Calif./Team Santa Monica), who took second in 15:15.78.
This week, Grothe won the men’s 800m and 1500m titles and took second in the 200m and 400m free.
Neidigh cruised to the women’s victory in 16:38.24, 12 seconds clear of runner-up Olivia Anderson of Canada.
The TYR Pro Swim Series resumes next month in Indianapolis, May 16-19.
