LSC Select Camps

In 2021, USA Swimming offered a grant program for LSCs looking to host an LSC Select Camp for athletes in their region.  

 

This year, we will return to the normal formatting of the LSC Select Camps.  LSCs will sponsor and host an educational experience for participating swimmers that creates unity throughout the LSC, increases athlete retention and motivation to improve, and provides opportunity for education, observation, communication and motivation.  

 

If requested, USA Swimming will provide a box of supplies to enhance the camp experience.

The mission of the LSC Select Camp program is to provide our members with an exciting camp experience that fosters the love of swimming from the grassroots to the national level.

The objectives of the LSC Select Camp Program are to motivate and educate those swimmers participating in the camp.

Specifically:
  • Provide an educational experience for each participating swimmer;
  • Create unity throughout the LSC;
  • Increase athlete retention by providing them motivation to continue in the sport;
  • Provide an opportunity for education, observation, communication and motivation of coaches.

LSCs design and run their own camps with support from USA Swimming. Please review our 2024 LSC Select Camp Administrative Manual for full details on how to plan a camp. 

Please Note: LSCs must submit an application to host a camp no less than two months in advance of the camp dates.

If you are a swimmer interested in attending a camp, please reach out to your LSC to find out if there is one offered in your area.

These camps may be denied by USA Swimming upon reasonable notice for any reason, including but not limited to a force majeure event.  If deemed necessary, the event may be reassigned or rescheduled.
