Katy Arris-Wilson is a former USA National Team member (1987-1992) who competed at the
Pan Pacific Championships (2 times), the World Championships, the Goodwill Games and an international trip to then East Berlin. Katy swam all four years at the University of Texas at
Austin, winning two team national championships (1990, 1991)
and one individual national championship (1992 - 1650 yd freestyle). She also served as co-captain of the team and was the University of Texas nominee for NCAA Woman of the Year.
Katy worked at Bain and Company, a strategic management consulting firm, from 1993-2000 in both the Dallas, TX and Johannesburg, South Africa offices and currently invests in and advises private equity. Katy served as President of Tide Swimming in Virginia Beach, VA for 11 years during which time the team tripled in size to 650 swimmers, partnered to build a 50 meter pool with the local YMCA, and launched a thriving swim school. The team offers its 11 full time staff members health benefits and a matching 401k.
Katy graduated from the University of Texas at Austin as a Dean’s Distinguished Graduate with a degree in Economics with Honors. She and her husband, Kevin, split their time between Virginia Beach, VA and Park City, UT. They have 3 college age children, the youngest who swims collegiately.
