Mariejo “MJ” Truex is the Senior Director of Sport Development Services which include overseeing LSC Performance Services, Team Services and the Curriculum and Education Team.  She came to USA Swimming in 2005 and has served in a variety of roles in her 20-year tenure from working with the National Team Division to overseeing Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Coach & Athlete Development, LSC Support and Services and as a Team Services Advisor with Sport Development.  Growing up on a YMCA/USA Swimming team in the Metro LSC,  MJ swam through her collegiate years before starting her coaching career.  Her academic background and experience is in education, leadership, and sports business.

Her most rewarding role is as a swim and sport parent to her three children who enjoy not only swimming, but parkour, XC, track and field, soccer, volleyball, ski and snowboarding, and basketball.  She resides in Colorado Springs with her husband, a high school engineering and STEM teacher and XC coach, two sons, and Bernedoodle and has a daughter swimming for Purdue.  Boilerup!
