Heather and her family have a passion for teaching the life-saving skills of swimming to children in their community regardless of familial resources or socioeconomic status. In line with this passion, she partners with a local non-profit, Emerald Youth Foundation, to teach young swimmers new skills at a pre-competition team level. She has been engaged in this capacity for 7 years. Heather is also a passionate swim mom to her daughter, Isabella (13), who swims for Tennessee Aquatics, Emerald Youth Foundation, and Central High School. While not an experienced swimming athlete, Heather loves the role she plays on the pool deck to support swimmers at all levels. She is passionate about the good things that swimming brings to her community between the lane lines and beyond.
Heather resides in Knoxville, TN with her wonderful husband, two beautiful children, and two crazy dogs.
