USA Swimming Announces 2022 Club Excellence Eligibility Requirements

USA Swimming has announced the eligibility requirements for the 2022 Club Excellence Program. This voluntary program recognizes USA Swimming member clubs for their commitment to athlete performance excellence.
In response to the positive feedback we received in regards to the 2021 Club Excellence Program requirements, USA Swimming will not require an application for the 2022 Club Excellence Program. Medal recognition and status will be granted for the 2022 calendar year.

A detailed list of 2022 Club Excellence Program requirements is located on the website here, and below are some key takeaways:
- Pool Performance Eligibility Time Standards: All eligible performances must be achieved between September 1, 2020 through August 31, 2021.
- Recognition Levels: Highlighting the honor of Olympic achievement, USA Swimming member clubs with a 2020 Olympic Games qualifying athlete will automatically qualify for Gold status, subject to meeting the minimum eligibility requirements below.
- Open Water Performance Eligibility: Open water performances by 18 & Under athletes who competed in the 5K and 10K at 2021 USA Swimming Open Water National Championships as well as the 5K and 7.5K at the USA Swimming Open Water Junior National Championships will be counted towards point totals.
- Successful completion of at least Level 1 of the Club Recognition Program and
- Initiating an application for USA Swimming Safe Sport Club Recognition.
