Harting Added to Short Course Worlds Roster

USA Swimming’s rosters of 16 men and 16 women will travel for the 16th FINA World Swimming Championships (25m) in mid-December. The event will be held Dec. 13-18, at the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre (MSAC). The Championships will be staged over six days with heats in the morning sessions and the semifinals and finals in the evening sessions.

Zach Harting (Huntsville Swim Association/Cardinal Aquatics) is the newest addition to the men’s roster, it was announced by USA Swimming on Nov. 29. In his first international meet since the Tokyo Olympics, Harting will swim the 200m butterfly. The competition will also be Jake Magahey’s (University of Georgia/Swim Atlanta) senior-level international debut.

NC State’s Braden Holloway will serve as head coach with Bruce Gemmell (Nation’s Capital Swim Club), Whitney Hite (University of Florida), Ashley Jahn (University of Tennessee) and Eddie Reese (Longhorn Aquatics) serving as assistant coaches.
