USA Swimming Announces Updates to 2024 World Aquatics Championships Roster
by USA Swimming
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – USA Swimming, the National Governing Body of the sport of swimming in the United States, today announced changes to its roster for the 2024 World Aquatics Championships, which take place February 2-18 in Doha, Qatar.
Added to the U.S. roster is the quintet of Lilla Bognar (Travelers Rest, S.C./Team Greenville), Kayla Han (La Mirada, Calif/ Carmel Swim Club), Kate Hurst (Hillsdale, N.J./Scarlet Aquatics), Rachel Klinker (Lexington, Ky./California Aquatics) and Addison Sauickie (Sarasota, Fla./Sarasota Sharks). The 2024 World Aquatics Championships will mark the first senior-level international competition for all five athletes. These roster additions are a result of voluntary athlete scratches from the competition.
The full U.S. roster can be found here.
The team will be led by head coach Erik Posegay (U.S. National Coach and National Junior Team Director), Abi Liu (Bellevue Club Swim Team), and Ken O’Reilly (Scarlet Aquatics). Liu previously served on coaching staffs for the 2022 Mel Zajac Invitation and 2023 World Aquatics Junior Championships meets, while this will be the first USA Swimming international team trip for O’Reilly.
