USA Swimming Announces Procter & Gamble Sponsorship
by Nikki Warner // USA Swimming
USA Swimming, the national governing body (NGB) for the sport of swimming in the United States, today announced Procter & Gamble (P&G) as an official partner across its multiple household and personal care categories.
For decades P&G and its brands have proudly served Olympic and Paralympic athletes, families and fans with the best performing products for their household and personal care needs, so they can focus on achieving their personal best. Being sponsored by P&G will allow USA Swimming to provide more services to members and will bring greater visibility to American athletes as they compete on the global stage.
P&G’s Gillette Venus brand, the Official Razor of Team USA, recently launched "The Power of Smooth" campaign to highlight Venus as the razor swimmers trust in the last step in their pre-competition routine. As part of the sponsorship, Venus will be featured on a 50’ tall digital board greeting the athletes as they walk to the starting blocks at the U.S. Olympic Team Trials – Swimming, presented by Lilly. A celebration party for the American swimmers at the conclusion of the Olympic Games in Paris will be supported by P&G. The company will also show its support via a donation to the USA Swimming Foundation which demonstrates P&G’s passion in the long-term growth and development of the sport for young and old.
“Having a partner like P&G is a dream come true for USA Swimming,” said Shana Ferguson, Chief Commercial Officer of USA Swimming. “Their desire to support our athletes and their loved ones in multiple ways truly speaks to the compassion of the team at P&G. We are beyond thrilled to launch this partnership!”
“We are proud to be an Official Sponsor of USA Swimming for the Olympic Games Paris 2024. P&G brands have a long history of supporting and serving athletes on their journeys to achieve their dreams on the world’s stage,” said Janet Fletcher, Senior Director of Sports Marketing at P&G.
