The 2024 Golden Goggle Awards are set to take place in Indianapolis, Indiana on Saturday, November 23, 2024. With the voting deadline of October 17 quickly approaching, here is the breakdown of the nominees for this year's Coach of the Year award:

Bob Bowman

Six American swimmers who trained under Bowman qualified for the U.S. Olympic Team. Led by Regan Smith’s five medals, Bowman’s American swimmers brought 11 medals to their home countries.

Todd DeSorbo

DeSorbo, the women’s team head coach and head coach at the University of Virginia, had four swimmers qualify for the Olympic Team. The quartet of Kate Douglass, Alex Walsh, Gretchen Walsh, and Emma Weber combined for nine medals.

Greg Meehan

Meehan, an assistant coach in Paris and head coach at Stanford, helped Torri Huske to her five-medal showing in Paris, which was tied for the most by an American swimmer in Paris. Huske delivered the first individual gold for the U.S. via her performance in the 100-meter butterfly and was a part of world records in the women’s and mixed 4x100m medley teams.

Anthony Nesty

Nesty, the men’s head coach and head coach at the University of Florida, had five Gator Swim Club swimmers make the U.S. Olympic Team – more than any other program represented on the Paris roster. All five Florida athletes came away with at least one medal, while Katie Ledecky, Bobby Finke, and Emma Weyant individually medaled, along with a world record from Finke in the 1500m freestyle.
