Athlete applications are open for the 2025 National Diversity Select Camp, scheduled for May 1-4, 2025, at the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Training Center (USOPC) in Colorado Springs, Colo. Athletes can apply here through February 9.

USA Swimming created the National Diversity Select Camp to empower athletes from diverse backgrounds to participate in a unique developmental swimming experience. Up to 28 athletes from each competition category will participate in workouts and training sessions led by decorated leaders within the sport. To qualify, athletes 14-16 years old must have achieved at least one National Diversity Select Camp time standard (13-14 AAAA qualifying time) in a USA Swimming-sanctioned or approved swim meet between September 1, 2023 – August 31, 2024. Only LCM times are considered. To view the full selection criteria, click here.

“We are excited to bring these talented athletes and their coaches to the USOPC to participate in a one-of-a-kind experience,” said USA Swimming Managing Director of Sport Development Joel Shinofield. “This camp empowers athletes from across the country to learn from leaders in our sport, helping athletes and coaches create a path for success in and out of the water. A dedicated coach track offers coaches the opportunity to learn from other coaches and USA Swimming staff, and network with colleagues from across the country.

The camp includes lodging, meals, airfare, and ground transportation for all attendees. National Diversity Select Camp alumni include Olympians Natalie Hinds, Torri Huske, Jay Litherland, and Simone Manuel.
