SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Rachel Klinker (Louisville, K.Y./California Aquatics) started the evening’s session with a dominant win in the women's 200-meter butterfly, taking the title by more than five seconds. Klinker's time of 2:10.85 was just outside the top ten times in the world this year. In the men's 200m butterfly, Luca Urlando (Sacramento, Calif./Dart Swimming) threw down an equally impressive swim, setting a new Pro Swim Series record. Urlando's 1:52.37 narrowly missed the U.S. Open record and made him the fourth fastest swimmer in the event all time.

Michael Andrew (Encinitas, Calif./Sun Devil Swimming) tied for the win in the men's 50m freestyle with France's Maxime Grousset, finishing in 22.04. In the next event, the women's 100m backstroke, Rhyan White (Herriman, Utah/Wolfpack Elite) edged Wolfpack Elite teammate Katherine Berkoff (Missoula, Mont./Wolfpack Elite) by just one-hundredth of a second. White's 59.68 was her first sub-one-minute swim of the season and makes her the seventh fastest performer in the world this year.

Separating from the field late and hanging on for the win, Isabelle Odgers (Aliso Viejo, Calif./Irvine Novaquatics) took the women's 200m breaststroke title with a 2:28.98. In the men's 200m breaststroke, Matt Fallon (Warren, N.J./ University of Pennsylvania) charged on the final lap to take an impressive victory. Fallon's 2:09.58 is the fourth fastest time in the world this year.

Women’s 200m Butterfly – FINAL

1 – Rachel Klinker (Louisville, K.Y./California Aquatics), 2:10.85

2 – Justina Kozan (Brea, Calif./Unattached), 2:15.87

3 –  Applejean Gwinn (TPE), 2:16.79

Klinker on her impressive win: “I was trying to make it more efficient than what I did this morning. There was a lot to clean up with that race alone. I’ve been working a lot on my technique the last month so trying to find places where it worked and where it quite hasn’t worked yet.”

Men’s 200m Butterfly – FINAL

1 – Luca Urlando (Sacramento, Calif./Dart Swimming), 1:52.37

2 – Krzysztof Chmielewski (POL), 1:54.36

3 – Michal Chmielewski (POL), 1:56.36

Urlando’s reaction to the Pro Swim Series record: “That was so cool, I was not expecting that at all. The last 15 meters, I was tightening up a bit, so I was telling myself to just hold my stroke together.”

Women’s 50m Freestyle – FINAL

1 – Beryl Gastaldello (FRA), 24.75

2 – Julia Dennis (Oxford, Miss./University of Louisville), 24.79

3 – Liberty Clark (Chico, Calif./Unattached), 25.32

Men’s 50m Freestyle – FINAL

T-1 – Michael Andrew (Encinitas, Calif./Sun Devil Swimming), 22.04

T-1 – Maxime Grousset (FRA), 22.04

3 – Brooks Curry (Atlanta, Ga./California Aquatics), 22.27

Andrew after the 50m butterfly on competing in two events this evening: “It was good, I feel like it was the most tired I've raced in a long time. I’m happy with the double, really happy with the 50 free.  There were a lot of simple mistakes in the fly. I started to force speed, and I could see Maxime pull away and got out of my own lane. There’s some good things to learn, I’m excited for tomorrow.”

Advice on how to stay in your own lane: “It’s hard, it’s really hard. I’ve been swimming professionally for over a decade now and I still have the same issue. The more you do it, the more you learn to control the uncontrollable and stay in your own lane. For the young ones, it’s about training and repetition, eventually you figure it out but you're going to have to make mistakes.”

Women’s 100m Backstroke – FINAL

1 – Rhyan White (Herriman, Utah/Wolfpack Elite), 59.68

2 – Katharine Berkoff (Missoula, Mont./Wolfpack Elite), 59.69

3 – Leah Shackley (Bedford, Pa./NC State University), 59.92

White on the narrow victory: “It feels really good to get the win. I haven’t been super confident in my 100 back in a while so it feels good. I train with Katharine (Berkoff) a lot and a lot of the time I’m not winning, so it feels good to win.”

On her race strategy: “This morning, I started out with a pretty slow tempo, more like a 200. I just know that when I start at a certain rate, it’s really hard for me to pick it up so I just went for it tonight.”

Men’s 100m Backstroke – FINAL

1 – Yohann Ndoye Brouard (FRA), 53.87

2 – Jack Dahlgren (Victoria, Minn/ Aquajets Swim Team), 56.82

3 – Hugo Duvauchelle (FRA), 56.85

Women’s 200m Breaststroke – FINAL

1 – Isabelle Odgers (Aliso Viejo, Calif./Irvine Novaquatics), 2:28.98

2 – Aliz Kalmar (HUN), 2:29.13

3 – Mikayla Tan (Danville, Calif./Unattached), 2:29.45

Odgers regarding long course racing: “I wanted to make sure I got in the competition pool and get some long course reps in before my swim. We’ve just shifted to long course training, so it was nice to get in a race practice. I wanted to make sure I put together a race plan that I’ll use later on in the season.”

Men’s 200m Breaststroke – FINAL

1 – Matthew Fallon (Warren, N.J./ University of Pennsylvania), 2:09.58

2 – Carles Coll Marti (ESP), 2:10.25

3 – Denis Petrashov (KGZ), 2:12.33

Fallon on his trademark late charge: I’m always out behind the pace; I’m really just trying to take it out while being smooth. I used to have much fewer problems coming home on the last 100 but it’s definitely becoming a lot harder for me the past year.  I was injured a little bit at the end of 2024 and that put a rut in things, but since then it’s just been getting back into it.”

Women’s 50m Butterfly – FINAL

1 – Vanessa Ouwehand (NZL), 25.94

2 – Leah Shackley (Bedford, Pa./NC State University), 26.61

3 – Arielle Hayon (Agoura Hills, Calif./Rice Aquatics), 26.88

1 – Maxime Grousset (FRA), 23.12

2 – Michael Andrew (Encinitas, Calif./Sun Devil Swimming), 23.65

3 – Ethan Dumesnil (FRA), 23.96

Women’s 400m Freestyle – FINAL

1 – Eve Thomas (NZL), 4:11.64

2 – Alexa McDevitt (Mercer Island, Wash./Unattached), 4:15.87

3 – Ella Dyson (GBR), 4:17.83

Men’s 400m Freestyle – FINAL

1 – Samuel Short (AUS), 3:43.84

2 – Alec Enyeart (Kansas City, Mo./Tsunami Swim Team of K.C.), 3:49.69
