Seventeen USA Swimming Foundation donors had the opportunity to get a taste of what it’s like to eat, sleep and train like the National Team athletes they help support during the Adult Performance Camp October 4-6 at the Olympic and Paralympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Over the weekend they had the opportunity to work on their skills in the water with past Olympic Coach and former National Team Director Frank Busch, as well as work with Olympic greats Rowdy Gaines, Missy Franklin, Ryan Murphy and Maya DiRado.
Campers learned about strokes and technique, received training in athletic nutrition in the USOPC Training Center test kitchen, practiced dryland techniques with the training staff at the USOPC, and even got one-on-one time with our athlete/coaches to review their individual footage.
Between sessions, campers experienced the Colorado outdoors with the athletes and learned about their personal stories, all while supporting the USA Swimming Foundation’s mission to save lives and build champions – in the pool and in life. We thank our campers for a great weekend and hope they left with knowledge and memories to last a lifetime. Hope to see you again in 2021!
