USA Swimming Partners with Yahoo Sports to Distribute Swimming Content Ahead of Olympic Trials and Olympic Games

USA Swimming Partners with Yahoo Sports to Distribute Swimming Content Ahead of Olympic Trials and Olympic Games

USA Swimming, the national governing body (NGB) for the sport of swimming in the United States, today announced an agreement with Yahoo Sports that makes it an Official Digital Content Distribution Licensee. The partnership aims to increase the reach of swimming coverage by sharing content via Yahoo Sports, one of the internet’s leading destinations for comprehensive sports news.

In the lead-up to the Olympic Games Paris 2024, Yahoo Sports will devote a page to USA Swimming coverage. The Yahoo Sports Swimming page will include USA Swimming editorial and video content focused on general swimming education, athlete storylines, and race previews for the 2024 U.S Olympic Team Trials – Swimming, presented by Lilly (“Trials”). Content authored directly by the NGB will bring expert analysis and unique access to the Yahoo Sports audience.

"We look forward to the reach and audience an established and trusted platform like Yahoo Sports can bring to our sport," said USA Swimming President and CEO Tim Hinchey III. "We anticipate an incredible summer of performances in the pool and are thrilled swimming and athlete stories will be available to millions of sports fans worldwide."

To help round out its swimming coverage, Yahoo Sports has onboarded Olympic medalists Katie Hoff and Missy Franklin as swimming correspondents. The duo recently launched a swimming podcast, "Unfiltered Waters," which has quickly gained popularity beyond the swimming community. Hoff and Franklin will deliver daily coverage from Indianapolis during the Trials from June 15-23 and will offer expert analysis during the Olympic Games Paris 2024. The content will be available on the Yahoo Sports Swimming page, Yahoo Sports social channels, and the USA Swimming Network.

“The Olympics is a sporting and cultural event like no other,” said Yahoo Sports President Ryan Spoon. “This partnership with USA Swimming enables us to cover the upcoming Olympic Team Trials with great depth and access – and to connect fans with the great results and stories as Paris approaches.”
